We are proud to shine a light on Colin Phelan’s story, a remarkable addition to our Apleona team. Colin’s journey, particularly his partnership with guide dogs, embodies the qualities of resilience, and trust.
Colin’s journey with guide dogs began just over nine years ago. During this time, he has developed a deep appreciation for the importance of trust and teamwork. His partnership with his first guide dog, Jingle, a Labradoodle, lasted 8.5 years and was built on a foundation of mutual trust and collaboration. After completing 8 years of dedicated service, Jingle has entered a well-deserved retirement and now lives with Colin full-time. Yesterday was Jingle's 11th birthday, happy birthday Jingle!
In April of this year, Colin met Croí, a bronze Labrador who is still a puppy, just two years old. This journey with Croí is a work in progress, as both Colin and Croí learn each other’s needs and build a trusted bond. While young dogs may make mistakes, Colin understands that these moments of growth only strengthen their connection. It’s interesting to note how the evolving relationship between Colin and Croí mirrors the way we build relationships with our clients in integrated facilities management. Just as Colin and Croí develop trust and understanding over time, we work to establish the same foundation of trust with our clients.
